Music workshop: Makena’s musical journey through Africa
Makena is a little girl from Kenya who will take you on a musical safari through the jungles of Africa. This workshop is packed with fun dancing and songs about animals. In additional to singing and dancing Makena’s story is accompanied by various traditional instruments.
Long term workshop: Project Indonesia
In this project, children get the opportunity to learn more about Indonesian culture by participating in a host of different creative activities. This project is especially suitable for primary schools and after school day-care facilities.
Single workshop: Sinterklaas and his house!
During this workshop children get the opportunity to learn something about Spain and Sint Nicolaas who visits the Netherlands every year in December. Children will create a special painting for someone they love, using various techniques.
* Sinterklaas is very much like the Dutch version of Santa Claus. His birthday(-the 5th of December) is celebrated by many families with gifts and poems.
Single workshop: Chinese lantern festivities!
During this workshop children get the opportunity to learn something about Asian culture by creating Chinese lanterns using Chinese calligraphy. A traditional story will be told and afterwards we will have some Chinese tea with a fortune cookie. This workshop can be booked for Sint Maarten as well as other occasions.
* Sint Maarten is a Dutch festivity where children walk with their lanterns and sing songs at the doorsteps of families. The families usually offer the children some sweets after the singing is over. At the end of the evening children return home carrying a heavy bag full of sweets and candies.
Single workshop: storytelling at the Eastern Teahouse
During this workshop children get the opportunity to learn something about Middle Eastern culture by listening to a traditional story and painting their own tea glass.
